Fantastic trip with Thomas

Sunday has arrived, what a lovely day for a trip. We decided to take Ethan for a day trip after his breakfast and we went to see Thomas the tank engine. Upon arrival, he was so excited because there was a big banner in yellowish colour and had Thomas's photo on it.

He realised that he got a chance to see Thomas and started to say "doott doott" - which means train. He ran so quickly and we have to catch up with him on that day. Then he had his face painted for the 1st time and he sat there extremely still.

After having lots of funs, we decided to leave Emerald and Ethan kept on walking round and round the souvenier shop and we have decided to get him a Thomas balloon as a present.

Ethan's 1st time at playschool

On the 23rd March, we have decided to let Ethan to attend the 1st day of the playschool so that he would be able to interact with other young kids.. He really enjoy that but he is too active and unable to stay still to listen to the stories. He always wanted to go out and play with his favourite toy car.

Trip at New Zealand

Trip to Gold Coast on the 30th July 2008

We have been planning for an interstate trip for quite some times now because Ethan hasn't experience on the flight yet. Therefore John and Wendy (daddy and mummy) decided to book a flight ticket just for the 3 of us to travel to Gold Coast on the 30th July 2007.

The night before the trip, we all busy packing our luggages and I couldn't believe that we have to pack the nappies, milk powder and all the required clothing for ethan. We all have 3 bags to check in. My godness... i can't believe that we have to bring so many things up to gold coast for 5 days and 4 nights.

The day has come and everyone was so excited. The night before we tried to put Ethan to bed as early as possible so that he will not get frustrated during the flight. He woke up at 8am and fed him breakfast and off we go to the airport.. Throughout the morning, john and myself got 'butterfly' in the tummy, I guess it's because we haven't fly for 4 years now. The last time we took the flight was when we got married and have to organise a dinner back in Malaysia.

When we arrived at the airport at 11am, it was so difficult to get a long term carpark at the undercover area. Then finally we managed to find spaces on the roof top. :( Unfortunately there is a walking distance therefore we have to take in turn to carry Ethan. On that day, Ethan wanted to walk by himself but he walked too slow therefore will required to carry him so that we could check in a bit earlier . By the time we finalised our check in it's already 11.40am, luckily we still have a bit more time to capture some photos at the airport.

Overall the trip was excellent and we took lots of photos and it's the best holiday ever.

Ethan's 1st walk

On the 12th June 2008, our little boy has taken off his 1st step unassisted. On that day he managed to walk 2 steps, the very next day, he has taken off to 4 - 5 steps and it's increasing day by day. We are so proud of our little boy ethan and he really started to grow up. He also seems very excited about the walking. Ethan started to have his own 'baby word'. He has been chatting through the whole day. Here are some video clips of ethan. Enjoy..............

Also attached some funny and cute pictures of Ethan which we have took recently for him. During the bath time, he was playing with his hair and suddenly he looks extremely gorgeous and looks like "master yoda - star wars character" heheh...

I will believe that he is the youngest pianist in this world. Seems like he loves to play the piano a lot.

Ethan's 2nd Winter

Recently the weather in melbourne is getting colder and we need extra clothing for ethan and we found a jacket which we bought for ethan during his 1st winter and it's now fit perfectly well on him, which also made him very smart looking too.

Today it's a public holiday in austrlia 25/4/08, we went to my counsin's place to have a relaxing afternoon and ethan played with his 2nd cousin and seems like he did enjoy himself very much today. He just fall asleep soundly in the bedroom, finally i could have some quiet time for myself. For the past few days, ethan's appetite wasn't that good and I have been trying to think what sort of food to cook for him. Today when he was at his 2nd cousin's place, he ate 2 big container of porridge . Wow that was unbelievable. Here are some of the amazing photos and videos.

He finally found something new which he never play or seen before. He started to get curious with his new toys today.

Finally I saw Ethan walked all by himself for the 1st time with a walker supporting him. We never have this at home and this was amazing.. I see my boy walking.

Happy 1st Birthday

I can't believe that today 12th April 2008 it's Ethan's 1st birthday.
We have organised him a big party and have invited about 50 people to the party. Unfortunately some of our friends couldn't make it on that day and some of them have to leave early therefore we didn't manage to take any photos with them.

Thank you everyone for taking their previous time out to attend ethan's 1st birthday and he also received lots of presents on that day. Hereby, we sincerely wanted to say a big thank you. The food that we had were pretty typically Malaysian Chinese style and we really hope that everyone did enjoy themselves.

Overall, I will say that Ethan has been behaving himself on his b'day. He should have an afternoon nap after cutting the cake but I guess he is too excited and he didn't go to bed until 9pm. He was exhausted and dozed off while he was having the milk.

Here are some of the pictures before the party begins, we bought quite a lots of balloons and Ethan started to get curious what are the big colorful balls flying up the sky......

Follow by some photos with friends and family members and ethan's friends.. unfortunately some of them have left early therefore we didn't manage to take photos with them or for those people who came late.

Today here are some shots which were taken by my uncle's camera. The photos might be repeated but hopefully some of them might be clearer or better. A lot of them are the natural shots ;)

After the party, there were still lots of drinks available in the esky box. I believe Ethan was very thirsty and he tried to reach out for the drinks in the icy cold water. At the end he decided to have some water from his own bottle.

Easter Celebration at the Werribee Zoo

It's Ethan first time to go to the ZOO and look at the animals!!! He quite enjoy it and he was exhausted by the end of the trip.

We went with John's brother family and another relative of George. We had a lovely time at the zoo and also manage taking lots of photos to share. It was quite a warm day, due to the reason that it's an open range zoo therefore have to take a bus around. The bus trip lasted for an hr and ethan did pretty well in the bus. Off course he did some naughty stuff too eg. yelling in the bus, pulling other people's hair (off course he didn't do it purposely) and climbing up and down.

After the trip, he was so exhausted and he fell asleep for a while to recharge the battery. After he woke up, we went to another place again, it's Rose Garden in Werribee. It's a very nice place to take photos. I fell in love with that.

The next photos which we will be taking will be Ethan's 1st b'day party. We are still in a progress of preparing it. Shall take lots of photos on that day.

Having a fantastic Yumcha / Day Out

One morning, we all decided to go out for lunch. This is when ethan got a chance to take more photos with his grandparents. Some of the photos might look the same coz i took the photos continously. Apologise on these. The 2nd lot of photos: look at ethan's outfit. My parents told me that this outfit i wore that before when i was a kid. They have kept this for their grandchild, they made it and the outfit it's still very new after 30 years!!! Well Done Mum and Dady. You must be wondering why it's always Wendy's parents always appear on the blog due to the reason that we hardly take pictures with John's family. Hope they will be in the blog very soon.

Ethan's 1st b'day party

Good day all,

Last weekend, we went to lorne for a short weekend trip..
its was excellent, Ethans seems like he did enjoy himself at the self contained apartment at Lorne.
He was climbing up and down and the amazing thing which he has done was climbing up the staircase.. We really got no idea where he actually learnt that from, it was a big surprised for John and myself.
He is a Big Boy Now.

Happy New Year everyone!!

I know it has been a while since i last post some great photos on the website.

During the christmas break, we actually helped one of my friend to look after her little baby girl. we had so much fun, john is very good in taking care of 2 babies at the same time too. He sang, play and make funny faces to ethan and kerrin(our friend's little girl). Here are some photos when they were playing at the play tent.

Also another friend of mine from malaysia, she actually bought a 'tigger' outfit for ethan. That's very nice of her too. I actually took some photos while ethan was very that, but sometimes later i will take more photos again. For the past few days, as you all know, melbourne is extremely HOT HOT HOT! the weather temperature actually reached 40+.. UNBELIEVABLE.

Aussie Style Baby Food

TOFU AND VEGETABLE PATTIES
preparation time is 10 min cooking time 10 min MAKES 2

1 table spoon mashed silken tofu
1 table spoon mashed kumara
1 table spoon mashed carrot
1 table spoon pureed zucchini
2 teaspoons rice flour

1. combine ingredients in small bowl; shape into 2 patties.
2. Heat small lightly oiled non stick frying pan; cook patties, uncovered, about 3 min each side or until heated through and browned lightly.

THIS IS A VERY YUMMY RECIPE, I TRIED THAT MYSELF TOO.

Today is actually ethan's 太婆 80's b'day. This has been planned ages ago and everyday, i have been thinking what sort of clothing should Ethan be wearing on that night. Finally this day has come, i got the clothing but no shoes!! Oh no... then john quickly took us to target and we have chosen a pair of pooh bear shoe for ethan ;) On that night Ethan looked very smart.

Firstly, we all purposely dress up smartly so that we can take some family photos at home. Then when we arrived at the restaurants, we also took some photos with relatives and 太婆 also gave Ethan an ANGPOW. what a lucky boy!!!

Trip to Mornington

What a great weather today to go out for a trip. It's very warm today.
Today we decided to drive to Frankston but somehow there is a detour so we had to take a short cut but somehow we drove to Mornington ;)

This is Ethan's second time going to the beach but this time he really enjoyed himself. We let him sit on the beach, also play with the sea water. Manage to take heaps of photos and here there are.........

Teething period

For the past few days, Ethan has been extremely unsettle. This has actually made me very upset and frustrating but today after he had his shower, trying to feed him with some water I checked on his gum. Finally I saw the marking on the gum, even though the teeth is not there yet but can see something is trying to come out!! Poor little fellow.

Another fascinating is Ethan can actually sit by himself today for more than 10 minutes. Usually, during our play time, i just let him sit for a while then i will let him rest. Yesterday my husband was playing with him and let him try to sit by himself and he hang on there for 10 second, John was extremely happy about it. Therefore I tried again today, even longer!!! Well done boy!!

EVERYONE GOOD NEWS TO ANNOUNCE!!! 15/11/07
Today i checked on ethan's gum again and We FINALLY can feel ethan's teeth. Yesterday the surface of the gum was still smooth but today we felt something sharp and the feeling is good. He is a big boy now. I am so happy!!!

My most recent fun trip from Oct to Nov

My parents took me to lots of places for sight-seeing. The most interesting place was we went to Cape Schank (somewhere near Portsea), Echuca-Moama and Phillip Island. During the trip, I had a chance to wear the sunglasses which my daddy bought for me when I was 3 months old. Enjoy the photos.

On the day when we went to Portsea, it was an extremely sunny and hot day. While we were walking down the tracks, there were lots of flies flying around and ethan doesn't like them at all. Its very irritating and annoying for him. That's why in the car, I decided to give ethan his sunglasses to wear.

For the last trip that we had it was Echuca-Moama (which is located at the border between Victoria and NSW. Our ethan is so lucky that he has been to NSW for more than 10 times, all we need to do is just drive across the bridge :) We stayed overnight at one of the luxurious home unit and it was great. Ethan behaved very good, sound asleep.

Wow, my goodness, it's already November. I just celebrated my b'day. In the morning, John and Ethan took me to the Pines shopping centre which is very close to our house and we had a cake there. Initially, wanted to bring him to the restaurant but we decided not to. I love my kiddo and husband, it's the best b'day which I've ever had.

Recently i just finished celebrating the mooncake festival with my parents, family members. Daddy and mummy got me a very cute thing it's yellowish color. Its a lantern! My first lantern, but i can't play now guess have to wait til next year.

I just started to crawl. I am still practising on my parents bed! :)

Let me introduce myself, my name is Ethan Kean Leung Yeung born in Melbourne on the 12th April 2007 at Mercy Hospital For Woman.

This photo was taken by my daddy when i was born during the 1st 20 minutes. I should be a month of May baby but decided to come out a month earlier to meet my parents therefore my b'day is very close to my daddy's b'day too.

Wendy's & John Story

I came to Australia when i was 15 years old, went to Korowa Anglican Girls School in Glen Iris to complete my Year 10 - Year 12.

At that time, I was staying with my aunty because I came over as an overseas student. My parents was still in malaysia. I really missed home when I first arrived because I have to start my life all over again. Different environment, culture, lifestyle etc.

But when i started to go university at RMIT, I found out that staying in australia is not that bad.. manage to meet new people, much more freedom and this is the time when I manage to meet John.

John came from Hong Kong when he was very young. We known each other in 1997, we did the same course at RMIT, Bachelor of Business. Then finally we got married in 2004 September 5th. Here are some of our wedding photos.

Let me slowly introduce them one by one starting from left to right. This is Wendy's side family members... more to come though... For john's family members, I will introduce them to you shortly.

I guess I don't have to mention much about the above photos, but the one right in the middle at the bottom row it's my parents. They purposely flew over to attend our wedding. On that day of wedding, it was extremely tiring and while doing the tea ceremony to my parents, my mum and myself cried a bit. I believe this must be overjoyed. I still have a brother though, he didn't manage to come over due to the reason that he was still at school therefore he couldn't take any day off at all. Never mind, in my heart, I still have this lovely little brother, he also gave us a wedding soft toys. It's very sweet of him to do that.

For these photos, we took them in Malaysia. It was done pretty quickly. On that day i remembered that it took us the whole day to complete the photos.
